Blake, a husband and father from San Francisco, inherits his Oregon childhood home after his father is presumed dead. With his marriage to his powerful wife Charlotte fraying, Blake convinces Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger. But when the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they are attacked by an unseen animal, and in a desperate escape, they barricade themselves inside the house as the creature stalks the perimeter. But as the night progresses, Blake begins to behave strangely, morphing into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte must decide if the terror inside the house is deadlier than the one outside.
