Bernadette Branch is an agoraphobic architect who decides to disappear shortly before leaving on a trip with his family to Antarctica. The book on which the film is based is narrated by fifteen-year-old daughter Bee Branch.
Cate Blanchett is ready to flee to Antarctica to begin the second act of life of Director Richard Linklater. The movie feels like it has a little bit of eating, praying, loving. Blanchett’s role as wife and mother seems to have left him without inspiration. There is certainly a great dose of desire fulfillment, as well as a number of options for her character in Seattle.
