In October 2009, the tenacious 16-year-old Australian Jessica Watson prepares to circumnavigate the globe solo on a sailboat. Determined to become the youngest woman to accomplish such a feat, Jessica doesn’t let herself be easily defeated: neither the fears of her family nor the pressure of the media can distract her from her goal. Even after an accident with a cargo ship during a test drive, Jessica is still ready to go. So, just one month later she sets sail from Sydney to embark on a 210-day sea voyage, during which she will have to face adverse sailing conditions and a strong sense of loneliness.
