Ivan is a gorilla in a cage exposed in a mall with the Stella elephant and the Bob dog. Stella is very sick and before dying, she tears off to Ivan the promise that will take care of Ruby, the elephant cub arrived a short time ago to replace it and with which Stella has established a strong connection. After the death of his friend, Ivan begins to remember his life before the shopping center and begins to devise a plan to escape with Ruby.
