Tom has accumulated a series of debts and, when his wife dies, he decides to go and live with his aunt, hoping that he will give him an economic hand to get back on track. But the woman does not satisfy him and Tom then looks for an alternative solution: after meeting the gravedigger’s daughter he persuades her to rob the graves of the rich. Everything runs smoothly until Tom begins to feel haunted by the souls he has disturbed.
